Information for Pap Talk Quarterly Advertisers

The three best file formats for ads are: Word with the photo as a separate jpg; tiff; and jpg. If you use jpg or tif format, and the files are large (as they should be at high resolution), you might prefer to use the website of Bear Assoc Printing. This is the publisher of Pap Talk.

Go to www.Bearassoc.com and follow the link on the home page that says "upload files". It is a dog paw print.

It is on the middle left just under the flying pictures. Submit your email address, and you'll get a screen with 8 browse fields (blank spaces).

Just select the files from your computer files that you want to upload, hit the upload button, and you're done. It takes about 3 minutes. The site will send you a confirming email, and also advise the printer that the files are there.

Trimmed page dimensions are 8.5 x 11, so image dimensions for full page interior ads are 7.5 x 10 inches; color covers and inside covers will bleed, and those dimensions are 8.75 x 11.25. Text and/or graphics that do not get trimmed must fit within 8.25 x 10.75 for cover and inside cover color ads.

If you have trouble understanding the above, you can scan the photo to the editor along with the text wording and how you want the ad to read or be layed out.
